Thanks primarily to the hard work of the NMA and the Washington Off Highway Vehicle Association (WOHVA) there are many places in the State of Washington to ride an off-road motorcycle. Our friends over at WOHVA have put together an outstanding map tool to help off-road riders find legal and approved riding areas within Washington State.
The Pacific Ranger District South is in the planning phases of the The Calawah OHV Project. Comments supporting the project can be sent by email by accessing the link provided above.
The DNR purchased over 50,000 square acres in the Teanaway area from a private timber company in 2013. This is now state trust land. The area has been named Teanaway Community Forest (TCF).
Did you know that the DNR is obligated by Washington State law to provide multiple use of state land where it is in the best interest of the state and general welfare of the citizens thereof (RCW79.10.100)? Did you also know they have banned ORV trail riding at the TCF at this time?
