Volunteer Trail Work

While there are many great riding areas in Washington, they all need respect and care. In some cases it's simply a matter of treading lightly -- stay on designated trails, pack out your own trash and be responsible. In other cases, trails need serious work such as removing fallen trees, improving water crossings or repairing heavily used trails.

Please do your part to maintain the trails you use.

Organized Work Parties

Many NMA member clubs organize volunteer trail work parties throughout the year. These work parties are where your interest and dedication to off-road motorcycling can really be shown. You can learn about terrain, soils and trail layout. In addition, working on foot and "in the dirt" can improve your riding skills. Not only can you be proud to make a contribution to the sport, most parties end with a great ride.

See our event calendar for the scheduled trail work parties (marked in green). These work parties depend on volunteers like you.

If you don't see any scheduled trail work events, consider contacting some local NMA motorcycle clubs. They're always interested in volunteers.

Complete A Trail Work Form

The purpose of our trail work form is to compile information about volunteer motorcycle enthusiasts who are contributing trail work hours. Our goal is to put this information into a form that can be used to keep exsisting trail systems open.

By showing our legislative leaders actual data on how much time and money our users are giving back, it is our hope we can make a difference.

Check out the Trail Work Form.
