Events

There are a wide variety of NMA events throughout the year. Perhaps the most popular are the competitive and non-competitive riding events. There are also land use, trail work and other volunteer activities available for you. Also be sure to check with local NMA motorcycle clubs for other ways of getting involved and supporting your sport.

Triva Fact
Many early Japanese motorcycles featured a rotary shift pattern. That means if you were already in high gear, one more shift would put you back into neutral, or worse, low gear! And of course an extra stab at the lever to make sure you are in low would click you into high gear instead. Sounds like an ideal design for the beginner rider, eh?
